PROGRAM
A buffet style dinner, catered by Salerno's, is included and two cash bars will serve soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. While the highlight of the evening is certain to be the time with your classmates, there will be a DJ and dance floor.
SCHURZ TOUR
Our very own Tim Anderson will be leading a tour of Schurz at 1:30 p,m. on the day of our reunion, Saturday, June 10th. Tim has arranged for Schurz items to be available for purchase at the school - thank you Tim! So mark your calendar and join us for this exclusive tour.
ENTERTAINMENT
There is no one more talented and no one that we would rather see entertain us than you! In past reunions, our classmates have demonstrated their talents during the reunion. To all our talented singers, dancers, musicians, comics, actors, majorettes, pom pommers, cheerleaders and others, we invite you to perform as an individual or as a group and we know that you'll be even better today than ever. John Augustine (http://johnstaugustine.com), our classmate who is a professional public speaker, best-selling published author, radio personality and all around entertainer will address our class that evening - can't wait! Kenn Matlock and Karen Johnson will be putting Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to shame in a dance routine they are creating just for us - they never stopped dancing! MEMORABILIA DISPLAY
Please bring your Schurz memorabilia which we will proudly display at the reunion. We would love to see your Schurz buttons, apparel, coursebooks, show programs, homecoming and prom items, and any other keepsakes that you have been saving. Extra credit to anyone who brings in a detention slip.

We hope you are comfortable sharing the life you've led as we are eager to see how things turned out for everyone. Whether or not you plan on attending the reunion, we hope you will participate in the survey.
HONORING OUR DEPARTED CLASSMATES
Life is short. Unfortunately, it was much too short for some of our classmates. During our reunion, we will be honoring members of our class who have passed away. Please let us know which of your classmates are deceased by sending us an email at [email protected] so that all are included.

Only one mile from the reunion, Country Inn & Suites is the closest hotel to the event. The hotel is holding rooms for us until May 11, 2017, at $89/room, plus taxes. Breakfast is included in the rate. The hotel will provide free shuttle service to and from the reunion and to and from O'Hare. It will be undergoing a renovation, to be completed prior to our reunion, and will be rebranded as a Four Points by Sheridan, which will honor our terms. To reserve a room, call the hotel and mention "Schurz High School Reunion" for the preferred rate. Three doors from the hotel is Pap's Ultimate Bar & Grill, serving drinks until 2:00 a.m. and food until midnight, for those classmates who want to continue with the party.
For those who would prefer a more upscale hotel, there is the Double Tree Hotel in Arlington Heights and the Sheridan Suites in Elk Grove Village.
We will continue to be in touch with you in the days leading to the reunion and hope you are as excited as we are. For those who have already bought tickets, you are awesome!
